This is the oil bypass plate I had made to fix the camshaft wear on my Interceptor. Along with a VF1000R oil pump to increase the pressure to the top end (100psi!), supplying filtered oil is the main advantage.
The actual bypass is not shown on this diagram. I had the plate made from this blueprint and did the rest myself.
A hole was drilled radially through the plate, between two of the six flow holes, into the center, to access filtered oil. The plate threaded onto a shorter filter boss. A gasket sealed the plate to the block. A new boss mounted the filter to the plate.
I used a 90 degree fitting on the plate. A single Aeroquip -4 line led to a splitter block I made out of aluminum.
The fitting on the plate didn't seal well and leaked oil. I changed to a tee fitting on the plate and separate lines to the front and rear heads.
After about a year the cork gasket blew out. I had the plate machined with a lip around the edge, and used a viton gasket.
